ONLINE SAFETY is more important now than ever before. 

As our school uses the various online platforms for learning please take a moment to read the information on the link above.

It is so important to have regular communication with your child regarding what they are accessing online.

Are you aware of what Apps and websites they are using?

Have you filters on home computers and tablets?

If you haven’t already done so, please start this conversation today.

Remember to ask your child:

Do they know how to stay safe?

Do they know what to do if they suspect something isn’t right online?

8 top tips for staying safe online 
  • Remember they are Online friendships- be nice to your friends.

  • Be respectful of your friends online.

  • Be aware of your digital footprint- once you post something it's out there forever.

  • Think before you post- try to be positive.

  • Know who you are dealing with- Remember people may not be who they say they are!

  • Protect your identity- Do NOT give out personal information and check your privacy settings.

  • It's not always real life-try not to compare yourself to others.

  • Keep a healthy balance- take breaks away from the screen.
